Cal-Nev-Ha District
Our district, encompassing the three states of California, Nevada, and Hawaii, is affectionally abbreviated as "Cal-Nev-Ha" (cal-neeve-huh). It has its own web page with information relevant to our whole district. (Namely, the District Convention.)
Division 12
There are (at last count) 47 Divisions in our District. We are one of about 15 clubs in Division 12. Division 12 also has a web page.
KiwanisONE/Kiwanis Portal
This is the place to get not only member information (phone numbers, addresses), but also to get a list of what events are coming up. The web site is www.kiwanisportal.com.
The first time you log in, you'll need to set your password via the "I forgot my password!" webpage, which is http://www.kiwanisportal.com/common/setpassword.aspx.
If you run into problems trying to get into the site, you should try emailing the club first, and then support@clubresource.com if you get desparate.
Yahoo! group: AlmadenKiwanis
We have a Yahoo! Group which we use for group communication through email. To join, send a blank email to AlmadenKiwanis-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Then, to send a message to the group, send your email to AlmadenKiwanis@yahoogroups.com.

Paying dues
Dues would usually payable at the beginning of the administrative year (October 1), except that the budget isn't approved until the first Board meeting, which is sometime in the first week of October. You can either pay the whole cost upfront, or you can pay half upfront and the remainder on or around the six-month mark (April 1).
Dues can be paid in a variety of ways:
- cash: if you're going to pay with cash, please do it in person at a meeting -- do not send cash through the mail because it has a tendency to never arrive
- check: checks can be mailed to the above address or hand-delivered at a meeting
- credit card: we use PayPal, which is an offshot of EBay that they developed as a secure method of using credit cards to pay for online purchases between individuals who aren't companies:

When you click one of these links you will be taken to PayPal's secure site. It is okay if you do not have a PayPal account! There is a link near the bottom of the page that says "continue without logging in". (Of course it wouldn't hurt to create a PayPal account so that you don't have to keep entering your credit card and address info every time you buy something through PayPal..)
